Pre-Competitive: All kids in pre-competitive are required to do minimum of one session of learn to dive before trying out. Kids in this group are between the ages of 8 and 18 and come minimum 3h a week. We work on basics of diving and get to go to provincial competitions and across the boarder. We do a mix of trampoline, strength training, and diving.
At the age of 7-9 we strive to teach all directions off the board with proper technique in hopes that some will want to join the competitive team.
At the age of 10+ we strive to keep a low pressure fun environment for kids to develop skills at their own pace. This program allows for consistent growth in the sport and will challenge them.
There are only specific days where we have room so please email us if your kid is interested in precompetitive program.
Mini Divers : It's Recreational Diving for little kids only. We welcome all kids under 8 years old. The program consists of once a week 30 minutes trampoline and floor exercises, and 30 minutes diving on Wednesday 5:30-6:30. It's a specialized program as we recognize that most little kids won't last a full hour in cold water. In this program we focus on safety, and fun. At the age of 9 divers will move into recreational Learn to dive to keep having fun, or will be invited to join pre-competitive team.
Competitive kids are between the ages of 10-18. They come minimum 4 days a week, and train specific advanced skills as well as strength training. We strive to be the best at the elite level and there are high expectations.
So far the Windsor Diving Club has produced 3 National Champions in the last 6 years that we've opened in 2016.
Try outs will be by invitation only when space frees up on the team. We are currently at max capacity.
